Gura Humorului to Host the 2026 "Brândușa Andronic" Moldova Trophy

From 3 to 5 July 2026, Gura Humorului will once again welcome one of Romania's most important youth rugby events, the "Brândușa Andronic" Moldova Trophy. Hosted at Stadionul Tineretului, the tournament represents the fourth stage of the Romanian National Mini Rugby Circuit, bringing together young players from across the country for a weekend dedicated to competition, friendship and the core values of rugby.

Named in honour of Brândușa Andronic, a respected figure whose lifelong commitment helped shape youth rugby in the Moldova region, the tournament has become a symbol of grassroots rugby development. Beyond the results on the field, the event celebrates teamwork, discipline, respect and the joy of introducing children to the sport.

Throughout the weekend, hundreds of young athletes will compete across multiple age categories, creating an exciting atmosphere for families, coaches and rugby supporters alike.

More than just a tournament, the Brândușa Andronic Moldova Trophy is an opportunity for young players to gain valuable experience, build friendships and embrace the spirit of rugby in one of Romania's most welcoming rugby communities.

The event is organised by Clubul Sportiv Școlar Gura Humorului, with the support of the Romanian Rugby Federation, Gura Humorului City Hall, Te Aud România and Kaufland România.
